BARBARESCO RABAJA' ...next releases.....

ANTONIO GALLONI - Vinous - October 31, 2017

GIUSEPPE CORTESE Barbaresco Rabajà Riserva DOCG 2011 – 95+ points

“The 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà is a fabulous choice for readers who want to experience a first-rate wine without waiting for years and years. A wine of volume, intensity and power, the 2011 hits the palate with notable resonance. Ripe, silky tannins add to the wine's immense appeal. There is no question the 2011 shows the exotic ripeness of the year, and yet there is more than enough freshness to balance the wine's more overt leanings. Don't miss it.”

GIUSEPPE CORTESE Barbaresco Rabajà Riserva DOCG 2013 – 94+ points

“The 2013 Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà is gorgeous. Deeply spiced and exquisitely layered, the 2013 possesses remarkable harmony from start to finish. Even though it has just been bottled, the 2013 exhibits tons of class and pedigree. The tannins are present, but they are impeccably balanced within the wine's frame. Today, the 2013 is a bit nervous and compact, a combination of the recent bottling and vintage, but it is tremendously promising. To be released in 2020.”

GIUSEPPE CORTESE Barbaresco Rabajà DOCG 2015 – 92 points

“Cortese's 2015 Barbaresco Rabajà offers lovely depth and radiance, in the mid-weight, classic style that is one of the house signatures. The 2015 fleshes out nicely in the glass. Bright, red-toned fruit, sweet tobacco, mint and leather overtones add considerable nuance. I expect the 2015 will be even better in another few years, once it has fully bounced back from its very recent bottling. The early appeal of the vintage are very much on display, even at this early stage. In 2015, Cortese will not bottle their flagship Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà.”
