International Wine Review – December 11, 2017

92 PTS.

In “Barolo and Barbaresco: Recent Tastings from the Top Producers,” Don Winkler focuses on the Langhe, suggesting that the region’s wines “combine power and elegance and offer the ideal qualities for pairing with fine Italian cuisine.” Included in his reviews:

“The Barbaresco Rabajà is a delightful wine offering aromas of red cherries and rose petals. It is bold and dark fruited with hints of minerals. Aged 22 months in Slovenian oak, it is nicely concentrated, with firm, round tannins and a long-lasting finish.”
